From my home base in Washington, DC, I've made it a point to explore both my own city and the world at large. You'll see a strong focus on ideas for travelers to DC in this site, but it also goes well beyond. There isn't a country in the world which I haven't visited - either in person in in my imagination. My life has been quite peripatetic. I've had careers in journalism, humanitarian aid, and the law. But no matter what my job has been, travel and exploration have been my passion. Now I get to share my passion with you.
